Belgian public university in Mons in Hainaut, created in 2009 by merging the University of Mons-Hainaut with the Faculty of Engineering, whose roots lie in a school of mines of 1837. Teaches medicine and pharmacy related biomedical courses, chemistry and biochemistry, psychology and education, engineering and translation, and carries out research in organic and polymer chemistry, biomedical imaging, genetics and neuroscience through institutes including Materia Nova and its health institute, with analytical facilities and industry partnerships.
