Frauenhofer IPA

The Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation (IPA) conducts R&D of technologies and procedures for biomanufacturing and lab automation in biotechnology, biochemistry, pharmacy and medicine, addressing organizational and technological challenges within industrial production environments. With 14 departments spanning corporate organization, automation and surface engineering, its R&D projects aim to enhance production processes and make products more cost-effective and environmentally friendly by identifying automation potential, strengthening clients' international competitiveness.
