For more than 30 years, Pharmalab has led the market in supplying plants that produce water for injection meeting international standards including USP, IP, BP, and JP. The plants are built to FDA cGMP and ASME requirements, based on thin-film-evaporation distillation. Designed to be crevice-free, since crevices encourage stagnation and bacterial growth, all columns follow ASME specifications and carry CE approval under EU PED regulations. Every part in contact with WFI and pure steam is electropolished, pipe joints are orbitally welded, gaskets are made from pure Teflon or pharmaceutical-grade silicone, and the first column uses a double tube sheet to prevent pure steam from mixing with plant steam if a weld joint in the tube sheet were to fail.
