This filter press reverses the typical flow direction relative to a standard filter: unfiltered liquid enters the machine's central section under high pressure from the bottom inlet, then spreads evenly across each plate where the filter media captures it. Solids remain on the filter media while filtrate collects in the shell and exits through the outlet; once filtration finishes, the cake is cleaned from the filter media and can be recycled. The unit filters impure liquid arriving atop each horizontal plate under increasing pressure, with the filter media holding back impurities while allowing filtrate to pass through the center via an interlocking design.
