Additional Description:
GastroBarrier is a probiotic formulated with acid-resistant bacteria designed to act starting in the stomach. It was studied in patients taking proton pump inhibitors to help control a known side effect of these drugs, bacterial overgrowth. The strains L. rhamnosus LR06, L. pentosus LPS01, L. plantarum LP01, and L. delbrueckii subsp. delbrueckii LDD01 were chosen for their ability to counter specific pathogens, and two clinical studies measuring bacteria in gastric juice showed GastroBarrier significantly reduced bacterial overgrowth in PPI users.
