Daewoong Pharmaceutical Co.,Ltd sell "ENVLO®"

Envlo (enavogliflozin) is a best-in-class SGLT2 inhibitor for type 2 diabetes, launched in Korea in May 2023 after MFDS approval in 2022. Its Phase III program in Korea covered both monotherapy and combination use (dual and triple therapy) with other anti-diabetic drugs, and a Phase II obesity trial as combination therapy is planned in Korea. It offers the smallest tablet size among potent, novel SGLT2 inhibitors while delivering superior glucose control and a longer duration of action, with confirmed in vivo efficacy in the STAM mouse NASH model and the TAA-induced mouse liver fibrosis model. The compound is being developed as an asset targeting multiple indications for both human and veterinary use.
