I am a neuroscientist with a background in pharmaceutical science and I am submitting my doctoral thesis with the University of Tasmania in early August 2023. My doctoral research is an investigation of the ‘Effect of high fat diet-induced obesity on neuropathology and functional outcomes following traumatic brain injury (TBI) in male and female mice’, observed through examination of cellular and molecular neuroinflammation markers, gut microbiome changes, and neurological function changes. I am devoted to constant personal and professional development and believe that knowledge is something to be shared. My research interests include understanding the effect of neurometabolism to neuroinflammation and neurological function, and deeper understanding of the role of the gut microbiome.
