Mireille Ngale Amba is a doctor of medicine by training from the University of Kinshasa, in DR Congo since 2008, then completed a specialization in pediatrics in 2014. She also holds a master's degree in clinical pharmacology from the University of Bordeaux, France. Mireille Ngale Amba works in three main areas: community health as head of general pediatrics in a municipal hospital; teaching as an academic assistant in the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacovigilance of the University of Kinshasa, and in clinical research. She has participated as a pharmacovigilance consultant in several clinical trials, including clinical trials on treatment options for Ebola virus disease; Human African trypanosomiasis; and malaria. Mireille collaborates with the technical secretariat for the management of COVID-19 for the training of healthcare providers. Mireille is a member of the National Committee of Experts in Pharmacovigilance of Vaccines of the DRC. Currently, she is conducting a PhD study on “prevalence and determinants of medication errors in the city of Kinshasa”.
