I am Haider Ali Akhtar, a research scholar in Zoology with a strong academic and research background in cancer genetics, molecular biology, and environmental toxicology. I am currently pursuing my Master of Science (MS) in Zoology at Superior University, Pakistan, where my research is focused on the genetic analysis of key tumor-related genes, including GSTP1, PTEN, and TP53, and their single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in non-melanoma skin cancer patients. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Central Punjab, Lahore, where I conducted research on environmental toxicology, specifically investigating the detection of chromium contamination in water from the Sargodha region and its effects on the liver, kidney, and reproductive system in mice. This work strengthened my interest in the relationship between environmental pollutants and human health. I have authored and co-authored multiple international peer-reviewed research papers, mainly in the areas of heavy metal toxicity, reproductive biology, and the protective effects of natural compounds against toxic-induced damage. Currently, I have four published research articles in international journals, along with additional manuscripts under review or in press. My research interests include cancer genetics, molecular oncology, environmental carcinogenesis, gene-environment interactions, and biomarker discovery for early disease detection. I am trained in various molecular biology and laboratory techniques, including DNA extraction, PCR, SNP genotyping, histopathological analysis, and experimental toxicology, along with data analysis and scientific manuscript preparation. My long-term goal is to pursue advanced research in cancer genetics and molecular oncology, with a focus on contributing to improved understanding of cancer prevention, early diagnosis, and personalized medicine.
