Dr. Ahmed Attahiru is a Nigerian chemist and researcher specializing in Natural Product Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Phytochemistry, Food Chemistry, and Antimicrobial Resistance. He obtained his B.Sc. (2016) and M.Sc. (2021) in Chemistry from Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aliero, and earned his PhD in Chemistry from the same institution in 2026. His research focuses on the isolation, characterization, and pharmacological evaluation of bioactive compounds from medicinal plants, with special interest in their antimicrobial, nutritional, and therapeutic applications. He has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles on topics including phytochemical analysis, food chemistry, pharmacological activities of Nigerian medicinal plants, green catalysis, and sustainable chemical processes. Ahmed has presented his work at several international conferences in Turkiye, Italy, the Czech Republic, Kenya, and Nigeria, delivering talks on drug discovery from natural products, antimicrobial resistance, food chemistry, and climate change. He has also published full conference proceedings and abstracts in reputable scientific gatherings across multidisciplinary fields. In recognition of his scholarly contributions, he has received multiple Certificates of Excellence in Peer Reviewing from international journals such as Annual Research and Review in Biology, International Journal of Plant and Soil Science, Journal of Experimental Agriculture International, BP International, and Journal of Scientific Research and Reports.
