Dr. ABDOUL NGNANIYYI (Ph.D) is a Computational Ecologist and Data Scientist at the Research Unit of Biology and Applied Ecology (URBEA), University of Dschang, Cameroon. His research focuses on developing predictive models to understand and mitigate the impacts of global change on biodiversity, integrating ecology, population genetics, and Environmental Toxicology. He specializes in deep learning applications for insect, mammal, and bird community ecology, multi-scale data analysis (from genes to ecosystems), and environmental toxicology. Dr. NGNANIYYI leads the Cameroon Insect Project, an initiative aimed at predicting declines in Cerambycidae under combined climatic and anthropogenic pressures to inform targeted conservation actions in tropical regions. His work supports critical thresholds for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 12 and 15, emphasizing reproducible and open science practices via Zenodo and GitHub. He leverages advanced tools including Python (TensorFlow, Keras, SHAP, Scikit-learn), R, remote sensing, and geographic information systems (GIS) to address complex ecological questions. His approach bridges data-driven insights and conservation practice for tropical biodiversity.
