Cristina is a rising senior undergraduate student at the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico, majoring in Biomedical Engineering. With over two years of experience in the healthcare and research and development industry, she has worked with reputable companies such as Medtronic, CIS Internationl, and VegaTek Hub. Cristina is also an accomplished researcher, having contributed to a published paper on the bioethics of biomedical engineering and currently working on another for her research at the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico (PUPR). Additionally, Cristina is a longstanding member of PUPR's honor program, where she has consistently excelled academically and demonstrated a commitment to excellence, leading to her selection as an HSI Stem Grant recipient as part of her participation in the Undergraduate Research Program for Honor Students. Beyond her academic and professional pursuits, Cristina has demonstrated leadership as the president and vice-president of the Biomedical Engineering Society student chapter at PUPR, while also committing nearly 200 hours to volunteering efforts, reflecting her dedication to giving back to her community.
