Dr. Aftab Alam is a Clinical Pharmacy academician, and researcher, currently serving in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy & Pharmacology at RAK College of Pharmacy, RAK Medical & Health Sciences University, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. He holds a PhD in Clinical Pharmacy from Banasthali Vidyapith, with doctoral research focusing on the comparative evaluation of drug–drug interaction (DDI) detection across electronic drug information resources and artificial intelligence (AI)-based tools. His research interests include medication safety, clinical decision support systems, artificial intelligence in pharmacy practice, digital health, and pharmacoepidemiology. Dr. Alam has over 14 years of experience in pharmacy education and clinical training, with expertise in case-based learning, simulation-supported teaching, OSCE design, pharmacotherapy, and practice school supervision in hospital and community pharmacy settings. He has actively contributed to curriculum delivery, quality assurance, and student mentoring. He has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed publications in Scopus-indexed journals on topics related to AI in healthcare, drug information resources, medication safety, pharmacotherapy, and clinical pharmacy practice. He has also presented his research at national and international conferences. Dr. Alam is committed to advancing pharmacy education through the integration of artificial intelligence, digital health technologies, and evidence-based clinical practice.
