Université de Tahri Mohammed Béchar

Algerian public university at Béchar in the south west of the country, raised to university standing in 2009 out of an earlier university centre and named after the independence figure Tahri Mohammed. Teaches through its faculty of exact sciences with chemistry and biology, its faculty of natural and life sciences, its institute of science and technology and its faculties of law, letters and economics, and carries out research on the plants of the Saharan region, water and environment and materials with its own laboratories.
