South Korean private women's university in the Yongsan district of Seoul, founded in 1906 as the first modern educational institution for Korean women. Teaches through its college of pharmacy, which runs the six year doctor of pharmacy programme and graduate degrees in pharmaceutical sciences, together with its colleges of science, engineering, humanities and business, and carries out research in medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutics and drug delivery, pharmacology and pharmacy practice with its own laboratories and research institutes.
