Pharmacy school of Southwest Medical University at Luzhou in Sichuan province, part of a university whose medical teaching dates from 1951. Teaches pharmacy, clinical pharmacy and traditional Chinese pharmacy to bachelor's, master's and doctoral level, runs departments and laboratories in pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical analysis, pharmacology, medicinal chemistry and pharmacognosy, places students in the affiliated hospitals for clinical pharmacy training, and carries out research on natural products of the region, drug delivery and drug safety.
