American law school of North Carolina Central University at Durham, founded in 1939 and one of the historically black law schools in the country, accredited by the American Bar Association. Teaches the juris doctor in full time and evening programmes with joint degrees in business and library science, runs legal clinics serving the local community and centres on civil rights and biotechnology and intellectual property law, which connects to the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry of the Research Triangle.
