Swiss university of applied sciences of the north western cantons, formed in 2006 by merging earlier institutions, with campuses at Muttenz, Olten, Brugg-Windisch, Basel and Solothurn. Teaches through its School of Life Sciences at Muttenz with chemistry, pharmatechnology, medical informatics and environmental technology alongside schools of engineering, business, education, social work, art and design and music, and carries out applied research in pharmaceutical technology, bioprocess and analytical chemistry and environmental technology with its own laboratories and industry projects.
