Egyptian medical faculty of Zagazig University in Sharqia governorate in the eastern Nile delta, part of a university that became independent in 1974. Teaches the bachelor of medicine and surgery with postgraduate diplomas, master's and doctoral degrees including forensic medicine and clinical toxicology, trains its students at the Zagazig university hospitals, and carries out clinical and biomedical research with its own laboratories and a poison control centre serving the delta region.
