Thai medical faculty and teaching hospital in the Dusit district of Bangkok, founded as Vajira Hospital in 1912 by King Vajiravudh, later run by the Bangkok metropolitan administration and since 2010 part of Navamindradhiraj University. Teaches the doctor of medicine and postgraduate specialist training, provides tertiary hospital care with emergency and trauma services, medicine, surgery, obstetrics and paediatrics, and runs its own clinical laboratories, pharmacy, blood bank and clinical research and ethics committee.
