Egyptian university hospital group in Cairo attached to the Kasr Al Ainy Faculty of Medicine of Cairo University, whose school dates from 1827 and whose main hospital stands on the Nile in Manial. Comprises the main Kasr Al Ainy hospital, the new Kasr Al Ainy teaching hospital, specialist hospitals for children, obstetrics, oncology and emergency care and outpatient clinics, providing free and subsidised tertiary care to large numbers of patients, and runs its own laboratories, blood bank and pharmacy alongside teaching and clinical research.
