Services company of Altria Group, the American tobacco and nicotine products holding company based at Richmond in Virginia, which provides research, regulatory, legal, engineering and other shared services to the group's operating companies. Runs the group's centre for research and technology at Richmond, carrying out product development, aerosol and analytical chemistry, toxicology and biological testing and clinical and behavioural studies, and prepares the scientific submissions filed with the American Food and Drug Administration for tobacco and nicotine products.
