American private college at Albany in New York, founded in 1881 as a department of Union University and one of the oldest schools of pharmacy in the country. Teaches the doctor of pharmacy with programmes in pharmaceutical sciences, biomedical technology, clinical laboratory sciences, cytotechnology and public health, runs its own teaching and research laboratories and a pharmaceutical research institute, and carries out research in drug discovery, formulation and analysis and antimicrobial resistance.
