Chinese teaching hospital at Luzhou in Sichuan province, founded in 1950 and the affiliated hospital of Southwest Medical University, a class three grade A general hospital under the provincial health commission working across its Zhongshan and Kangjian Center campuses. Provides general and specialist care with emergency and intensive care, cardiology, oncology, neurosurgery, obstetrics and paediatrics, teaches the university's medical students and residents, and runs its own clinical laboratories, hospital pharmacy and a good clinical practice unit for drug trials.
